How is a skydive made safe?

Through several layers of protection that add up. Every parachute has a reserve canopy and an automatic activation device, which opens the reserve automatically if needed. The instructors are qualified and apply the rules of the French Parachuting Federation. Every day, the chief instructor gives the weather go-ahead; if not, your jump is rebooked free of charge.
